This is an alternate shot of my vfc 416 [link] that I took at the same time as the previously uploaded shot although I never really intended to upload it here but since things have been quite slow this month I thought I'd share.

Any chance you can point me in the direction of a decent Elcan Spectre? It seems like the only ones out there are going for $150+. But beautiful gun! The 416 never gets old.

Sadly your talking $100+ for most of the replicas out there and quality varies wildly so unfortunately there no single one that could be considered "best" overall meaning its pot luck really that you a good one. I know ebairsoft have the 1-4x model for $129.99 (free/inclusive postage) in both black and tan [link]

Mine is one of the earlier ones released so is unbranded and is x4 only.

Ah thanks man![link]

I hear ya on the pot luck, I feel like that goes for most replica optics. If you're not buying a G&P from a retailer, its honestly hit or miss. I have a replica 552 off amazon.com, and the lateral adjustment knob broke literally just as it got into zero.

Np's

I've been quite lucky so far but have have a few duds in the past, the worst being one of those element pistol reflex sights which didn't even fit on its own mount right or even turn on for that matter.

Those are so cute, I cannot picture them on anything other than an MP7 or a P90 haha. I really want to get a Kobra for an AKM I just bought, but I don't even know where to begin looking. I feel like if its not Elcan, Trijicon, EOTech, or Aimpoint, no one sells replicas of it.

I believe Dboys/Kalash sell a replica kobra [link] however as always quality can be sketchy. A family member of mine has a couple of real ones (ris and side mounted) and they are pretty much bomb proof but only seem to get more expensive as the years go by.

I believe he picked one of them up on ebay.

Hmm, I'll have to look into this more. KInda off topic, but I had two questions I was hoping you could help me with. 1) Any ideas on how to restrict an AEG to semi? And 2), I tried to "submit" a photo of my primary to upload, but I keep getting a 404 error. As an experienced member here, do you have any idea what the problem is?

There are 3 ways I know of to set an aeg to semi only the first being an actual modification to the selector plat/gearbox ([link] this guide should help explain) or alternatively there are fire controls units [link] that fit between the battery and its connecting cable that can be programed for semi only or burst fire (though I've no idea how well they work). Lastly would be fitting a programmable mosfet inside the gearbox.

Regarding your other problem honestly I'm not sure I sometimes get a "processing error" if my net connection is rubbish at the time but I've yet to get a straight up 404 message. Could it be your browser ? have you cleared out your cache/cookies recently ?

From looking on the forums here a few people seem to be having the same issue but I don't see any mention of a resolution I'm afraid.

A SOPMOD stock is a must on 416's, otherwise a sexy piece of kit.

Those rail covers are pretty sweet. BTW, where are you putting your battery? PEQ that I'm not seeing or LiPoly?
