The Glock Safe Action Pistol, colloquially known as the Glock is a series of semi-automatic pistols designed and produced by Glock Ges.m.b.H., located in Deutsch-Wagram, Austria. The company's founder, engineer Gaston Glock, had no experience with firearms design or manufacture at the time their first pistol, the Glock 17, was being prototyped. Glock did, however, have extensive experience in advanced synthetic polymers, knowledge of which was instrumental in the company's design of the first successful line of pistols with a polymer frame. Glock introduced ferritic nitrocarburizing into the firearms industry as an anti corrosion surface treatment for metal gun parts. Besides Glock several other pistol manufacturers also started to use ferritic nitrocarburizing for finishing parts like barrels and slides.

Despite initial resistance from the market to accept a "plastic gun" due to concerns about their durability and reliability, Glock pistols have become the company's most profitable line of products, commanding 65% of the market share of handguns for United States law enforcement agencies as well as supplying numerous national armed forces and security agencies worldwide.

Cool I'd agree with but sexy not so much, theres just something about glocks I find very sterile and plain.

How you feeling about that choice of pistol? I run TM Hi Capa 5.1's all the time, was thinking a while back of picking one of these up..

Its quite a nice pistol and the glock 17 series is probably one of TM's best preforming GBB ranges.

Looks wise I dislike the glocks boxy sterile looks but TM did a good job of making it more aesthetically pleasing by adding the little add-ons like mag buffer, thumb rest and vented outter barrel.

Still I'd pick my custom TM MEU over one any day.

Good choice, I've done a few little bits to my 5.1 but I'm thinking about a new system, or just starting "again" lol

I like hi-cappa's but I dislike the fat mags since I can fit more of the thinner MEU mags per pouch plus the thinner grips of the meu is just more comfortable to me.

The new TM PX4 is a brilliant new platform and I'd whole heartedly recommend one but at the minute theres next to no after market upgrade parts available although theres a few metal slides on the way so hopefully more bits will follow.

I been drawing these lately. I'm thinking of posting all the models I can and I already have some up. I may be able to use some advice on how to draw them.

Its a thumb rest =]

Its supposed to help reduce muzzle climb and such and also to stop the slide catching your hand as it travels.

If I'm honest its a little awkward to use at first since its in the way of the slide release but it just takes a little getting use to.

Magloc are the manufacturer of the genuine article thumb rest that TM based the above off.
