HK USP Tactical by Drake-UK HK USP Tactical by Drake-UK
Just a slight photo update to replace the rather basic one I took previous.

Its a replica Heckler & Koch (HK) USP Tactical produced by Tanio koba.

Shot with a canon 500d.

______________________________________________

The USP Tactical (9mm Parabellum, .40 S&W, .45 ACP) incorporates a fully adjustable rear sight, a higher-profile front sight (as to be visible above the suppressor), an extended threaded barrel and O-ring, a match grade trigger, and an adjustable trigger stop. Sound suppressors designed for the USP Tactical are available from Knight's Armament and Brügger & Thomet.

A unique feature of the USP Tactical is that the barrel is left-hand threaded (counter-clockwise to tighten), which makes the pistol incompatible with suppressors designed for the MK23 Mod 0.

The KSK of the German Army and the German Navy Kampfschwimmer use the USP Tactical under the designation "P12".

I love me a bit of range time, my last vacation to the Colonies consisted of TGI Fridays and several ranges in Florida...

Sadly I don't get the opportunity to visit the states as much as I would like =[

I've got a pair of USP match replicas. The USP is a nice design, but mine are pretty cheap unmarked things that don't really do the job all that well.

Thanks,

It is the full framed model the tilted angle combined with the rail adapter make it look shorter than it really is.

Also I will be in Florida in September hopefully visiting a few ranges when I'm there =D

I'd be tempted, although it would be dependent on what time I have and how far I'd have to travel to get there from my hotel =]

This is a H&K Universal Self-loading pistol Tactical Compact....this one is in .40 S&W, probably has a GSG rail adapter, and a standard magazine..

It is indeed, these airsoft replica's are pretty realistic nowadays check out the rest of my gallery for heaps more =]

Sadly being in the UK its about the closest we can get by law... although hopefully I'll get to another firing range next time I'm in florida.

I'm looking at some of them now, and WOW, you weren't kidding! And I thought my brother's airsoft M4 was realistic! Pretty cool stuff, man!

Aw...that sucks. What are you supposed to do for self-defense, then? Are you guys not allowed to have or carry any real guns at all?

Defence ? our barmy laws used to mean a burgler/intruder could prosecute the victim if he assaulted him while trying to defend his home.

Its changed recently though thank god.

Regarding guns about the only thing thats own-able is certain shotguns for hunting/sport.

God damn...that's total bullshit. Who the hell comes up with those stupid laws? I'm glad that changed for you guys too. Nobody should have to deal with that. How did it get changed, though? Were there protests or something?

Only shotguns? So what are you supposed to do if someone tries to mug you at night or something, while you're out on the street? Are you supposed to carry a shotgun with you wherever you go? It just doesn't make any sense....

Yeah, weapons laws in general are very strict in the UK and other countries. That's why airsoft is very popular as a sport ("war games") in East Asia. You can find arguments for both sides all over the internet so I won't go into that here.

And really, it's not that different in certain US jurisdictions, particularly urban ones.

I know, but that doesn't change how ridiculous it is. What anti-gun activists don't realize is that guns don't cause violence. There has always been violence, since even before there were swords and knives. Taking away people'e means to defend themselves does not do anything. If anything, it just makes the problem worse, because criminals can use illegal means to obtain weapons, whether they're banned or not. THAT is what pisses me off....

As for areas in the U.S. that are similar, it is equally infuriating. I, and other good people, refuse to allow the government to take from us anymore.

Not sure how it got changed but there have been a couple of instances in the media regarding victims being cleared for injuring/killing an intruder.

Great gun. Kind of big in my hands, but easily one of the best .45's I've fired, I'm considering saving up for a compact. That replica also looks amazing! Is it airsoft, or just a non-functional model?

Actually, the USP is more common as a .40 round than the .45.

From what I've heard and read, it's the other way around. I am more favorable to the USP40 than the 45, though, simply because that's what it was originally designed for. Generally, guns tend to perform best when used with what they were originally designed to use. I'm not saying it's not good in .45ACP or 9mm Luger, though. It sure seems to be a fine firearm in either caliber.

Most USPs I have found in my searches of gun shows and online sales, it's mostly .40 produced by S&W. I may be mistaken in the world overall, but I'm looking at the civilian market.

What do you mean "produced by S&W"? The only thing S&W has to do with it is its name in the caliber designation. Anyway, I don't know, you could be right. I'm just saying, based on what I've read, the USP45 seems to be more popular than the USP40. I haven't looked at sales figures or anything, though.

I have seen several USP's branded by S&W. perhaps I am reading it wrong, I am not a pistols person. I'm snipers.

I think, if anything, what you're thinking of is the S&W mark for the caliber. USP40s use the .40 S&W cartridge. That's the only things that carries their name, as far as the USP is concerned. The USP is completely made by HK.

Cheers, its a rarer GBB airsoft replica by tanio koba.

I much prefer the full size frame to the compact as to me to compact just feels too small and looks pretty odd when you fit a weapon light or similar.

Didn't account for the light reflecting on the threaded barrel so it was a bit of a surprise but I managed to salvage the shot for the most part.
