Type 56-2 by Drake-UK Type 56-2 by Drake-UK
Finally got a shot of this real sword type 56-2.

Build quality is top notch and its got a nice heft to it.

Currently fitted with a genuine Israeli IWEAPON AK rail kit, genuine Magpul RVG grip and a few other replica bits.

Three images taken with a Canon 500D with stock kit lens.

Real Steel info:

The Type 56 assault rifle is a Chinese copy of the Kalashnikov AK-47 assault rifle, which has been manufactured since 1956. It was produced by State Factory 66 from 1956-73, then by Norinco from 1973 onwards.

The Type 56 is likely the most widely proliferated AK-47 type rifle in the world having shown up on battlefields in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, South America, etc. While exact production figures are not known, it is commonly estimated that as many as 10-15 million Type 56 rifles have been produced since the 1950s which means they may account for nearly one-fifth of the world's AK production.

Kalashnikovs of Soviet manufacturing are much more reliable.

Just curious... What exposure comp do you use for your bracketed photos when creating stock for an HDR image? Perhaps it varies based on scene?

Usually only -1 and +1 stop although its the sort of thing your best experimenting with.

I tried the above with 5 images instead of 3 and it did work but I thought the 3 looked better after processing.

It's very effective at bringing extra detail into otherwise flat surfaces, such as the receiver body. I have set myself a little project over the next few weekends to do something similar with my various kit so I'm looking forward to that. Hopefully build up some content worth posting...
